Correct but in past years it seems it wasn't as much of an issue. My wife had only 2 claims this year and both required receipts even though they were for small amounts. Same with my family member, this was her first this year.

u can ask amex cs to investigate the charge and get a receipt from merchant and then use it for return protection

A store has a 14 day return policy.  They might offer an exchange after this time period, but not a given.  Would an item be covered if they end up offering an exchange? From my reading of the terms, the program is a return protection program not an exchange protection. It says 'if you try to return an item within 90 days' not if you try to exchange an item within 90 days. Can you advise before I make the purchase? Thanks.

The website states a 7 day return policy. I emailed the company and they told me 14 days.  There is nothing about exchanges or store credit on the website, although I know somebody that was able to exchange an item after the 14 day time frame. Thoughts?

How do you do a return? Is it automated like Amazon (where if it's past 30 days you simply cannot do it), or do you need to send an email. If you need an email, you might need to email them and see what they say. Also, if they offer only an exchange but no credit, that may be eligible.

anyone ever attempt a return claim for indiegogo or kickstarter order? Assuming you got the item within 90 days.  Don't see why it wouldnt' work, but just curious if anyone actually tried

Filed a claim for my wife's Lenovo laptop.
Diagnostic was paid for buy Amex and they refunded the whole computer amount w/o asking for the device to be sent to them.
Bought a new computer the next day on my new SPG biz Amex
