$300 per item, 1K per card per year. So if you have an SPG card and a PRG card you'll only have 2k of total RP coverage, regardless of how many AUs you have on each card.

If you are unsure if an item qualifies for RP, then instead of asking for opinions here (slightly better than asking medical advice on facebook mind you), PUTPAC and ask the RP reps. You don't need to give your name or card info, just say you have an item or you will be buying an item and the store has a crappy return policy and want to make sure if there is a problem you can return it.

im trying to make a return protection claim on an additional card but cant seem to pull up the card number for additonal, only for the primary account. do i make claim on primary account although receipt shows different card number?
You'd need to login to the account with that card or just use the primary.

now checking on amex claims center i see the status of the claim is closed but i didnt get any email and no changes on my account.........
Do u have any different idea for a signature?

Claim was probably closed today and you will get email tomorrow and will post credit in next day or 2.
You can also call for confirmation.
If they were asking for it back it would still be open.  The only other possibility is it was denied for some reason.

will return protection cover an item that was over 400.00 so i split the payment onto 2 seperate amex cards.
each 200.00. the terms say "if you purchased it entirely with your eligible American Express® Card" which would imply that in my case it would not be covered.
Anyone have any experience on this scenario?
