$300 per item, 1K per card per year. So if you have an SPG card and a PRG card you'll only have 2k of total RP coverage, regardless of how many AUs you have on each card.

If you are unsure if an item qualifies for RP, then instead of asking for opinions here (slightly better than asking medical advice on facebook mind you), PUTPAC and ask the RP reps. You don't need to give your name or card info, just say you have an item or you will be buying an item and the store has a crappy return policy and want to make sure if there is a problem you can return it.

Amex can approve RP claims even after the card is closed/cancelled, though YMMV.

Can you confirm that this worked for you? Because my claim was denied and I sent a receipt dated 12/31
I actually just sent one in cannot confirm but I spoke to the return protection center.they told me that If have receipt you'll be covered

Also does anyone have experience with how this works when partially using Amex points on Amazon? If I use 1 point for the 20% Amex point discount does that invalidate RP? I'm guessing so based on the fine print but any data points would be helpful.

ok guys so what happened to me is my claim got denied stating that my card doesn't have return protection.
So what I did was I uploaded to my return protection page my receipt and attached a letter stating that the purchase was made on dec 31st and at that time my card did have return protection.
2 days later I was refunded.
[This happened to my friend too seems like the return protection reps are not that trained they just know that the card doesnt have now.
So if claim is submitted it gets denied eventhow some of them shouldn't. ]

Not that it's super relevant to most here, but I just got credited for a return protection claim on an item purchased in Canada. I think the t&c's exclude purchases made outside of the US, but I figured it was worth a try.

Made the claim for the USD amount charged to the card but used the receipt with the CAD equivalent and they still approved it.

I complained that they were ruining my teeth.

I guess they donít cover physical distress.

Should I have complained about them being a low quality product instead?

Anyone had success with stuff like that?

Are they not customized for each customer? They don't cover custom orders AFAIK.

Anyone having issues with return protection (on a card which lost this benefit) for items purchased in December? I filed a claim a week ago and usually get refunded in 2 days or so, however so far I haven't heard a/t from Amex.
Finally got my refund...so I'm guessing it's all just taking a lot more time than previously
