Business name and address probably, item detail, charge, tax amount if any,

just filed my first ever claim (on chase or amex) and received credit within a week.

nothing said of returning item so assume can keep

feel so stupid that never took advantage of these cc benefits for years.

I believe earlier in the thread there are cases where a few dollars were paid with eBay bucks which allowed them to deny the claim. If it is listed on the receipt it may be problematic.

But if it lists the purchase amount and then the charge on your Amex is less than the full amount it has the same effect.

Purchase has to be made in the US, does not have to be a US seller.

Even so, I made a claim for an item from a Canadian company, paid for in CAD and shipped to Canada and they still covered it. Maybe they don't always enforce the US requirement...
