$300 per item, 1K per card per year. So if you have an SPG card and a PRG card you'll only have 2k of total RP coverage, regardless of how many AUs you have on each card.

If you are unsure if an item qualifies for RP, then instead of asking for opinions here (slightly better than asking medical advice on facebook mind you), PUTPAC and ask the RP reps. You don't need to give your name or card info, just say you have an item or you will be buying an item and the store has a crappy return policy and want to make sure if there is a problem you can return it.

I have a few questions about filling a return claim online. I was asked about whether the condition looks new or working right. So far I always tried " .look like new", got money back. I am wondering what gonna happen if I put " not working" there. Any one tried this before? Still got full money back? Do they ask you to return them?

return protection doesn't cover non-working items.

I was speaking to a rep. and I asked a similiar question and it seemed that you get reimbursed.
Just call them and ask.

im trying to do a return but they keep on asking for a receipt and then will have to pay for shipping back? have people had better sucess with doing it over the phone or filling a claim online to get a credit right away

Ive had a great experience with Chase extended warranty.  Bought my laptop on my Freedom card and the battery died with about a month to go before the two year mark.  Sent a check, no problems.

did you have to send anything in? and did you get the extended warranty first and then it broke or the same time same call

1. Sent an invoice which i was able to retrieve from the dell website, and a snapshot of the product page for the battery.
2. The extended warranty is automatic

My apologies for veering slightly off topic, but I just filed a $238 extended warranty claim with Amex (on a broken shaver). They credited me 2 days later, and never asked for any documentation or broken item.

But then if you spend the same amount (or more) during that bill cycle (perhaps even if you don't) you lose those spend points.

As soon as you can't return it to the merchant as long as its <90 days from purchase date.
