[Updated With More Changes] Major Changes Are Coming For American Express Benefits! Master Chart Of What’s Being Added And Removed - https://www.dansdeals.com/credit-cards/major-changes-coming-american-express-benefits-master-chart-whats-added-removed/

$300 per item, 1K per card per year. So if you have an SPG card and a PRG card you'll only have 2k of total RP coverage, regardless of how many AUs you have on each card.

If you are unsure if an item qualifies for RP, then instead of asking for opinions here (slightly better than asking medical advice on facebook mind you), PUTPAC and ask the RP reps. You don't need to give your name or card info, just say you have an item or you will be buying an item and the store has a crappy return policy and want to make sure if there is a problem you can return it.

or
Return Protection:  www.americanexpress.com/return This is for when, in the first 3 months, the original seller won't accept a return, and the product is still in new condition.
Purchase Protection:  www.americanexpress.com/purchase This is for when, in the first 3 months, a purchase is lost, stolen, or broken.
Extended Warranty: www.americanexpress.com/warranty This covers only what the original warranty covers and extends it for up to 1 year.

Amex can approve RP claims even after the card is closed/cancelled, though YMMV.

I just want to be 100% sure- if I make a return protection claim, there’s no loss to the merchant, correct?

Thinking of ordering something from a frum store with a very short return window, and will want to use return protection if it doesn’t fit and I don’t get it back in time. However, I wouldn’t want to use the return protection if there’s any chance to loss to the merchant.

It's insurance that would pay you. The merchants transaction is unaffected.

is return protection for 1k for all cards on the account or is it 1k per user? meaning if i have au's on the account, do they each get thier own 1k limit or is it total 1k for all users?

It's $1,000 per account, whether you have no authorized users or five or ten. So if you only have one AmEx card--say, a Platinum card--then you have $1,000 total Return Protection available per calendar year. If you have two cards with Return Protection--say, a Platinum card and a Hilton Aspire card--then you have $2,000 total Return Protection--$1,000 per account--regardless of how many authorized users you might have.

Is that true even for a platinum AU?

Incorrect, each au card with its own card number (as they all have with Amex) has its own limit

How did I not know this? So if I add 10 AU to my EDP I get 10k in RP? Or only Plat AU

Right, almost seems too good to be true

With many frum stores having 3-7 day return policies, I go through multiple AUs worth of credit every year. Amazon amex, no annual fee.

I just spoke with amex assurance, they confirmed every additional authorized user gets their own coverage.

Nice. Thanks for putting in the legwork and confirming.

And it's not just limited to the Plat card AU's, right?

I'm confused, isn't the Amazon credit card issued by chase?

Disregard, I googled it. I didn't realize Amex issued a biz version.

Seemed to be across the board. They told me they consider each cardholder as a separate card member for the limits.

What about on business employee cards, it’s also 1K  per employee? Or only on personal authorized users?

What’s a frum store? Are you’re basically milking thousands of dollars a year? Lol.
