Have an item I purchased for over $400, can I use the return protection to credit me $300 (assuming they don't have me send it back to them...)?

Yes but chances are you will have to send it back, When we did for an item that was $314 they called us up to make sure we really want to go ahead with it and take the loss

returned a dress for $85 and got credited. was wondering about sending it in and called. rep told me its under $100 so prabobly wont have to send it in but she wasnt in the dept that processed claims, she took them.

If I get a TV and put it on my Amex no fee hilton card am I protected by Return protection and double guaranty.
I will probaly always keep this no fee Hilton card to keep points alive
I have 7 other Amex cards with fees

I have a $211 suit I want to file a claim with. 2 problems
1. I accidently put the wrong manufacter on form. Should I file a new claim?
2. The recipet says "store credit after 30 days" If they deny the claim because I could get a store credit (like they say they will on their website), can you still claim something like "the store won't even give me a store credit because the tags were taken off?"

I never had an issue. Just don't bring it up if they don't.

I just filed an extended warranty claim (not purchase/return protection) and the Chase rep who took the info told me it'll be fast tracked and I'll probably just be advised to purchase a new item once I submit the documentation since it's under $100.

Just did an amex extended warranty for a watch that cost $65. They didn't even ask for proof that it had a manufacturers 2 warranty and by the next morning I already had a credit.

I called to have them reimburse for a pair of sunglasses (cost $495). They agreed to do $300. I said the only reason in calling in was because I lost the case and singles hit wouldn't take them back. They let me file under loss protection and in a week a rep called me to get my story and refunded all $495 plus tax (about $550)!!!
