it takes long for them to send emails. Log in and track your claim, if it says closed, you have already been reimbursed, the email will only arrive in a few days.

They usually follow up with an email requesting docs. I'd give it a lil while longer.

If they don't ask, you may be one of the lucky ones to be credited without having to provide anything.

Does Amex add the 1 yr warranty on top of the manufacturers original warranty, or will they add it if you buy an extra warranty (apple care for instance).

Example- I buy a macbook Pro andApple gives a 1 yr warranty. I buy an additional 2 yr warranty (total of 3 yrs). Will Amex cover a 4th year, or it will be part of the 2 years extra I bought?

I already registered the amex online account. When I go to americanexpress.com/return, and would like to claim a return protection.

But under the ELIGIBLE CARD BENEFITS, there are just two options: Purchase Protection and Extended Warranty. In other words, No option for return protection.

Is anything I can wrong?

Of course, you can always make it have an "accident", and then file for PP... but that's a discussion for the "Is it ethical?" thread.

One more question about the limitation of $300 per claim.

My understanding is that, for example, I purchased an item priced at $350.
I can still file a return protection for that, but amex can only give me back $300 if this claim is approved.

Is it right?

what happens if I buy an item on an Amex card, and then I close that card. Will I still be able to use the return /damage protection? what if I still have other Amex cards open?
