How do you keep track if you make mixed purchases at any store - how do they know (or how do you know) if its part of the order?

So how do they know they value of the item? if I bought % computers in one order ranging from $500 a computer to $1000 same model number how do they know the value oif the broken one?

You file the claim, and you tell them.

Return protection is not for broken items.

The purchase protection is for broken items

$80 pair of jeans on an SPG, Amex did not make me return the item or send in any supporting docs, claim was approved in 12 hours.

I filed a claim sent in docs. shipped them back the merchandise. how long does it take once they receive the items? thank you

I bought $100 Marc Jacobs Sun Glasses from Nordstrom on my SPG. They were purchased in May and stolen from my car in November/December. I filed a claim with Amex, but it was denied bec it was after 3 months of the purchase date. (i dont recall if they said 3 or 6 months after purchase date) either way, it was denied. I have the glasses case with the Nordstrom return sticker (if that helps..?)
Any advice?

Just claimed for 3 paid of shoes, worth just over $100 each, they want them all back.

In others experience, is there a difference between claiming over the phone and online?

I bought a Dell laptop 4 yrs and 11 months ago for $1400 it broke I originally bought a 4 year warranty but since this was the 5th year it was covered under their extra warranty protection they refunded the entire amount.

But I had to send back to laptop

Not a bad deal at all!

1 for a $12 dress and 1 for a $19 skirt.
I did both online, and they credited me immediately without having to send back either of them.

My theory is that for cheap items, they don't make you send back, but for more expensive items they do. Not sure the cutoff.

its usually around 100 though ppl have bad diff expirences. I have been able to keep a 138$ iPod

Possibly, but I wouldn't want to "waste" it on little things. I'd rather use it for a big ticket item..
