$300 per item, 1K per card per year. So if you have an SPG card and a PRG card you'll only have 2k of total RP coverage, regardless of how many AUs you have on each card.

If you are unsure if an item qualifies for RP, then instead of asking for opinions here (slightly better than asking medical advice on facebook mind you), PUTPAC and ask the RP reps. You don't need to give your name or card info, just say you have an item or you will be buying an item and the store has a crappy return policy and want to make sure if there is a problem you can return it.

Does Premium Return Protection give you more than $1000 per year, or does it just raise the eligible per claim value to $600?

relating to the amex warranty extension, its probably a good idea to use a no annual fee card when buying something like a computer that you want extended warranty on. because if you need to close the card you purchased it on, you lose the warranty.
Tell me if im wrong, but as far as I understand, this feature is not offered on any of the no-annual fee cards, even fee cards like Delta Gold don't offer this. It's only the Plat and SPG.

your saying the AMEX delta Gold and AMEX blue sky for example have the same warranty protection, as does the SPG?

From the Amex website:
Return Protection: If you try to return an eligible item within 90 days from the date of purchase and the merchant won't take it back, American Express may refund the full purchase price, up to $300 per item, excluding shipping and handling, up to a maximum of $1,000 annually per Card account, if you purchased it entirely with your eligible American Express® Card.

Purchase Protection: When something you buy is broken or stolen, it shouldn’t be your problem. That’s why if you use your Card for eligible purchases, they can be protected from accidental damage or theft for up to 90 days from the moment you buy them.
For platinum cards it's: accidentally damaged, stolen, or lost

I just submitted an extended warranty  claim for my broken HP Touchpad.
Thing is the original charge was on Sep/25/11 With a 1 year warranty plus the 1 year amex extension I'm a few weeks late
But it was only shipped on Oct/17/11 and counting from then I'm still within the Amex Extra year
 What are my chances?
Initially they declined me based on the charge date of Sep/25
i have since appealed that decision by submitting the emailed shipping confirmation as well as a screenshot from the HP warranty website which clearly states the warranty was valid through Oct/24
Now I'm waiting to hear back

Had 7 clothing items ranging from $20 - $80. Did 2 applications online (max 5 items per app) and a day or 2 later got all $290 credited back. They didnt ask for any receipts or the items.
Interestingly they split my 2 claims into 4, I guess 1 per retailer?
