Got it - so for something like a stroller, is it better to forgo Amazon 33% discount by just buying from BBD with Amex to get both of their protection coverage?

That's a decision only you can make. See what the total difference in price is, and decide if you would pay that amount for a better warranty.

I did a return protection of a $209 tablet
they sent me 2 letters the first asked for the recite and said that after the claim was approved they would send me details on how to mail the item.
the second letter just said that I got the 209 credit ( and the credit was in my account) but did NOT say anything about returning the item, are they still going to send me instructions about mailing or am I done

the only thing I can think of is that it was a 32gb model that I bought on a price mistake, so maybe they thought it was last years model and not worth it to them to resell

when you log in to aee your claim online, it should say if case is closed or pending documents.

Is Amex return protection world wide or only on purchases made in states?

90 Days of Protection - If you try to return an eligible item purchased fully with your eligible American Express® Card in the 50 United States of America, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands within 90 days from the date of purchase and the merchant won’t take it back, we can refund the purchase price.
