$300 per item, 1K per card per year. So if you have an SPG card and a PRG card you'll only have 2k of total RP coverage, regardless of how many AUs you have on each card.

If you are unsure if an item qualifies for RP, then instead of asking for opinions here (slightly better than asking medical advice on facebook mind you), PUTPAC and ask the RP reps. You don't need to give your name or card info, just say you have an item or you will be buying an item and the store has a crappy return policy and want to make sure if there is a problem you can return it.

Bought a brand new iPad mini on Ebay for $295 then 2 weeks later the new one came out so I decided to go for the new one. I filed return protection faxed in the email receipt got refunded in full and got to keep it!

Did my first return protection like 2 hours ago (for a real return protection -- the store wouldn't take the thing back unopened!), and the status is now 'closed'.

Does that mean it's been approved?

Filed a claim for a pair of shoes bought on Amazon that was passed the return policy. I was asked to fax in the receipt which I did. I heard nothing for 10 days!! Then I got a message from amex asking me if they were new and free of scratches and scufs.
Is this normal? The item was only $103 and it was my first claim.
I ended up just canceling the claim because I got amazon to take it back, I have no idea if it would've gotten approved.
Anyone else have such a long waiting period, and then be asked for more info?

i once had to wait for 9 days but then they approved it ,it was a $90 Hat they just closed it and gave me credit

Check your account to see if there's a credit. The email that you're approved doesn't always come right away.

I filed claim for something lost by the airline. I keep sending them my claim and they keep saying they didn't get it. Its all of a 30$,item.

In my experience where they made me wait 10 days then requested more info, it was my first claim.
I then submitted a claim 3 days later and was approved in 2 hours, was only for 33 bucks though.
I guess YMMV

I got a season ski lift pass and the snow wasn't great. They wouldn't take the pass back after I used it. Do you think I could claim $200 of the pass using this? I don't want to be banned from the mountain and am considering going back sometime this season and using this pass.

If they asked me to fax in documentation, does that necessarily mean they'll ask me to return it?
