$300 per item, 1K per card per year. So if you have an SPG card and a PRG card you'll only have 2k of total RP coverage, regardless of how many AUs you have on each card.

If you are unsure if an item qualifies for RP, then instead of asking for opinions here (slightly better than asking medical advice on facebook mind you), PUTPAC and ask the RP reps. You don't need to give your name or card info, just say you have an item or you will be buying an item and the store has a crappy return policy and want to make sure if there is a problem you can return it.

Did a claim yesterday for $83 for a Nokia phone from RadioShack. Got email this morning that the claim has been approved and closed..

I got a season ski lift pass and the snow wasn't great. They wouldn't take the pass back after I used it. Do you think I could claim $200 of the pass using this? I don't want to be banned from the mountain and am considering going back sometime this season and using this pass.

Can anyone answer this?

Dunno if this is the thread to share my experience, but figured people might gain and it is along the same lines of thread, so here ya go... Last year I bought a nexus4 from google site and the phone was good, but the battery needed to be charged 2-3 times a day without using the phone much. I emailed google asking for them to replace but they weren't helpful. So I put up a dispute with Amex and seems like google didn't respond back to the dispute, so I ended up getting a full refund $395!  I am still using the phone and all I needed to buy to fix my problem was a battery bank. (It's annoying that I need to charge my phone several times a day though.)

Ah'vaada :) Lemme rephrase... sometimes it's annoying, but I can certainly deal with a free phone :) 
You can replace the battery for a couple of bucks, or you can but an external battery pack.
It's an internal battery. I am fine with the battery bank....

I forgot to mention.. I bought tickets with Delta for my family (4-5 tickets) and a couple months later I saw the same flights went down in price (totaling about $80) so I didn't dispute, but just asked Amex if there was any chance i could get the difference in price credited. They told me there's no reason why I shouldn't try to dispute those charges and they went ahead and filed the dispute for me.

A month later, after I haven't heard anything back,  I had already flown one way, and got a response saying I lost the dispute and Deltas reasoning for not reimbursing the difference was because I already used up one end of the ticket. I replied to Amex telling them I filed the dispute 3 weeks before I flew and it's possible Delta waited until I've used one end of the ticket so that they could use that reason to reply to my dispute. They saw eye-to-eye with me and credited the money on the spot!

Well I got my answer and I was able to keep the item. I filed a Purchase protection on my phone (BB 9930) which cost $219 on Amazon. They drove me crazy, first I got a quote that was accepted but there was problem in the quote description then there was an issue with the quote itself ask DH for more details ;). So I gave up and filed a return protection on it and I got to keep it!
