$300 per item, 1K per card per year. So if you have an SPG card and a PRG card you'll only have 2k of total RP coverage, regardless of how many AUs you have on each card.

If you are unsure if an item qualifies for RP, then instead of asking for opinions here (slightly better than asking medical advice on facebook mind you), PUTPAC and ask the RP reps. You don't need to give your name or card info, just say you have an item or you will be buying an item and the store has a crappy return policy and want to make sure if there is a problem you can return it.

+1there is nothing even a little bit ambiguos it says $1,000 per CARD ACCOUNT.
card account could mean the account that all cards are under.  I ask again, has anyone actually done more than $1,000 in a year?

years ago on a $2k+ laptop (to put it in perspective, it was bought in summer of 2004 with a 3 year warranty and died somewhere in the winter/spring of 2007/2008.

They asked (from an authorized repair shop) for an estimate on its repair cost ($800-$900ish) and with the information credited my account.  was pretty painless.

This never happened to me before...

I filed some claims for a pair of shoes and a suit  from MyHabit ($80 and $199) i got a letter saying to send in a receipt which i did, then i got follow up letters to send the item back.
I didn't get around to returning them for a week or so, but last night the credits posted and i got emails saying the claims have been closed although i have not yet returned the items!!

I imagine i'm in the clear here but does anyone think i still need to return the items?

i would assume so, but this is the first time something like this happened to me and iv'e used the return protection literally tens of times, so i was wondering if anyone else has had this, and if they came after them to return later (as unlikely as it sounds)
