No, it shows that people don't have an answer for him. There was nothing wrong with the question.

100% the question was fine. Its totally fine that:
a) someone is full on anxiety because they are worried about their child or
b) They want to know when the bus is coming to pick them up by the stop.

But if someone puts in their 2 cents that:
a) They can work on the root of the problem by getting real life skills how to deal with anxiety from a therapist or
b) they totally misunderstood the question,

then the response should not be to bash them but to:
a) disagree or ignore the response or
b) explain to that person that they misunderstood them.

To respond by name-calling is an unhealthy way of responding in such a situation. That's not ok.

Sir, you have a long history of trolling on these forums, in addition to the inability to view colors beyond black and white. Don't try to spin this into some sort of "oh no, people are calling me names".

Why are the only 2 options you can think of extreme anxiety and just to know when to go out?

What if they want to be prepared in case there is an unexpected delay? So they don't need to call and speak to a grouch at the bus company to find out why their kid isn't home?

Maybe their kid tends to miss the bus, and they want to be sure he made it on the bus?

Or any of a million other reasons to want to know where their child is.
I wonder what people who type "u" instead of "you" do with all their free time.

Mimaniv Shuch, if you trust the school bus monitor/driver, you should be able to send the child w/o being tracked.
But if you don't trust them, you shouldn't be sending your kid on that bus at all.

Therefore, I would suggest a licensed therapist. Once you get help you will no longer need a tracking device.

May I ask what your real goal is?

Do you want to have a general sense of where your kid is, or do you want to have real-time tracking?

Trackers like Tile and AirTags are good for a general sense, but have limited functionality. They need your kid to be near someone elses phone for the signal to be picked up, and they have added anti-stalking technology to throttle repeat requests within a certain timeframe.

Wearables have built-in cellular and GPS, and can give you real-time tracking - but they tend to be more expensive and have monthly fees.

Not sure if it's helpful to the OP or others reading - my son is a bus counselor with a day camp. He created a Whatsapp group for the parents of the kids on the bus, and shares live location with them on the way to/from camp so that the parents know where the bus is.

Do you mean this kind of name calling?
I'm not quite sure what you are saying...
Are you saying that telling someone that they don't have to suffer from anxiety their whole life if they just get some skills is name calling?

Is "therapy" a four letter word that someone who actually cares about you enough to suggest it should now be cursed out with obscenities?

I really don't understand how you are different than what you claim i was doing anyways. I, based on my 10+ years of helping people and their kids with technology, assumed that the OP was nervous. So i gave him advice based on that. Other's assumed I was attacking the OP and therefore called me a troll. Why were you even assuming that I was attacking him at all???

If the OP was not asking out of anxiety then I was wrong and he was able to tell me so. No harm done.
If I was right, though, then all you haters out there are just harming him. So he'll get the tracker and won't get real help...

Sometimes protecting someone is really harming them...

When the entire thing is based on a one line question? Very much so.

Thank you very much! - I would like something in realtime and not a wearable.
Im seeing some devices that have propriety subscriptions, like Tracki and some seem they just need a data plan. I am trying to figure out if I can buy a prepaid annual plan and put it in a device or what the needs are.
