I wouldn't rely on such a setup.
I use it to turn my oven off shabbos mode. Hasn't called yet.
I use regular timer for my lights

Why? I use it every week with no issues so far.

If it's working for you great, but I wouldn't rely on a ifttt query to determine when Shabbos is, there are just to many points of potential fail.

Personally I use scenes and then automation to trigger them. When YT comes around I add the effective days to the shabbos trigger and that's it.
Just played with it. Doesn’t seem to be any better than let’s say Alexa which can also set on/off based on day of the week and sunset. In fact, Alexa even lets you choose sunset + offset like 50 min (or whatever you opinion is) post sunset on Motzai Shabbos to turn back on. So you making me research this now actually got me to set up my Nest doorbell with this routine, so that’s good! Now I want something that will follow zmanim to know when it’s YT.

I have a sunset plus offset and I can tell you that sometimes it turns on on shabbos. Since the zman is not exact. I'd doesn't matter too much for me since it's a closet light but I can see it being an issue.

Oh, I couldn't find offset in Smart Things, but good to know the zmans aren't perfect. I would think they have to be within a minute or two. How much different can "official" sunset be from halachic sunset? Nonetheless, I can have the doorbell turn back on a couple minutes after havdala just in case.

I actually had my doorbell off all winter on shabbos and then realized it's on my only security device outside. I now keep it on.

Offset is part of the time function. See pics.

Anyone know of a front door WiFi number lock (deadbolt) that’ll be good to use on shabbos too?

If you want a shabbos friendly code, I don't know. But plenty have a hard key option too.

They say the best smart locks are (arguably) ones which control the ability to open and close rather then actually doing the opening and closing.

That being said, in regards to Shabbos AYLOR. There can be a potential issue with it keeping history of when it was opened and closed, which I believe all of them do.

I use the Wyze Lock with a regular combination lock (it replaces the back) along with the Wyze keypad and take out the batteries for Shabbos.

We need a solution to the taking out the batteries problem.

Add a sim card slot and start an mvno and offer plans with the right amount of data.
Or send them links into plans with 1 month promos :)

Sim card is the plan, but check up NB IoT or LTE-m, the network is all there.
