Flying on short notice to TLV

Will be going to Israel in August for birth of grandchild. As a result I can only book my flight on very short notice. Booking now will result in change fees and penalties.
I have Chase points and also limited AA MILES (70000-:( ). I would prefer business or premium.
Any recommendations?

coming from san diego? Get the united card and I would say decent chance of availability tlv last minute using point. especially when you have sfo or ewr as both good options.
