Isn't DD style commenting the way to deal with it?

Why not review each comment before allowing it to post?

Are there 3rd party 24hr services that would do that for you?

What the point of these hit pieces?
Most PPL  have dirt, what benefit do they have from publishing this, whom does it benefit? Click bait?

They did moderate comments, it takes time and resources to do so and I guess they didn't see the ROI.
They have also taken a lot of heat in the comments on misleading and erroneous posts. I believe the decision to kill comments was finalized after last week's post about a right wing demonstration on a beach went viral and drew lots of negative comments before being closed to comments.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

This is from that article

Quote
"He would trust almost anybody in the world before he trusts his own employees," she said. "He will trust [reader] comments over what we say is the best strategy, or a random person he met at a party over anything that we would have to say."

A number of employees would resort to asking their friends to leave comments on TPG stories, videos, or posts so that Kelly would see their suggestions and hopefully execute them.

I guess he caught on to what the employees were doing.

Now I get the point, to ruin it for his employees.
