I am looking for the best cashback earning, credit card that is not american express. It seems the best cashback of 2% is only for american express these days. Any suggestions?
Its too bad, no one in my family would listen to me when I told them to get the charles schwab card. so I am trying to do as well I can. What is the highest non amex cashback people have seen these days.
cap1 venture = 2%chase sapphire = 1% ~ 1.25% if you use the points for travel (but that's not really cashback)
Isn't Venture also 2% only for travel redemptions?
cap1 venture = 2%chase sapphire = 1% ~ 1.25% if you use the points for travel (but that's not really cashback)chase freedom, discover, citi <forget the name> - 1% but have the 5% in revolving categories.
If you're using Sapphire Preferred (1.07 points per dollar spent) for CO or Hyatt transfers you should be getting a value of at least 2% if not more.
But this is the 'best cashback card' thread
Stand outside any Park Hyatt and sell the points at 3 cents each
Really? Can't Hyatt shut you down or something for that?
Shut you down for what?Hyatt point stays (and the points themselves) are fully transferable to anyone.
Do you seriously think standing outside the hotel is a realistic idea?(not rhetorical)
It's not something I would do
You're just too much of a fan of Paris PH and Kauai GH
Add the PH SYD and MEL as well. And I'm sure the PH in NRT and EZE when I make it there...
Considering you told me to get the Fidelity AMEX at 2%, it seems like you should be all over the Fidelity Visa. 1.5 points/$ spent on the first $15k/year and 2 points/$ after. You get Worldpoints and redemption is 5k points for $50 into your fidelity account (mySmart Cash Account is no minimum no fees). So practically speaking you're looking at 1.5% with a slightly more involved redemption process than normal.
