Reminds me of something I heard about Rabbi Shmuel Kunda zt"l. His friend, Rabbi Yitzy Erps, told me that Reb Shmuel said that no matter how humorous and funny he makes voices, he always makes sure to do the rov's voice in a normal, natural-sounding voice. He stressed that it is never worth depicting the rov in a less-than-pristine manner, even at the expense of added entertainment.
