Topic Wiki

If your video is not embedding, see if your link starts with "http:" - if it does, change it to "https:" and it will work.

If a video isn't embedded you should assume it may be inappropriate for some people.

How do I embed a Youtube video?
Simply post the YouTube URL.
Alternately (actually, this may no longer work):
Click the "youtube" button on the second row on the furthermost left side.
You will now have the words: in your editor.
Now, copy and paste the youtube video id (youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0&x=y) in between the middle brackets in order for it to look like this:

and leave out this part of the link: "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v="

Or you can paste the YouTube link, highlight it, and then click on the "YouTube" button. This will encase the link in the youtube tags,
Now just click "post" and you're done!

How can I search if a video has been posted here before?
This is not foolproof, but it's a good start.
Search for the youtube ID (youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0)

Well they only have one son, and he lives in Israel. So definitely not her "Einiklach".
I didn’t say that I said family, from my understanding cousins. (Still weird)

Lies.
They were known so after proving themselves. Read up a bit and you will see how after a rebbes passing away there wasn't a default next of kin takeover. In many instances chasidim would not accept the new rebbe and wander to a different court.

Someone once told me A nes R Shach wasn't a rebbe. If he would've been a rebbe you know who would of taken over......

Hog wash, one thing chassidim are consistent about is their adherence to a tradition.
The rebbe was always an inherited position. And it is entirely possible that the tzidkus is indeed inherited

and you say this based on?

is that what they teach in lakewood? Never in my life throughout my chasidish upbringing did I hear such a thing. On the contrary we were always taught it is not a yerusha

Lol, is it magic then? I honestly don't really know why chassidim believe blindly in their rebbes. I thought that the believed in the inheritance of holyness or something.
What did they teach you about how the system worked?

why chasidim believe blindly? Real chasidim don't! and the one's who do can be for various reasons. 1)having someone who you can throw all your issues and tough decisions on can make life easier or I would more accurately say (please no backlash!) 2) this is part of being in the Nin sharei timah believing in rebbes/mentors WHOEVER it may be regardless of their holiness or the opposite and putting it into chasidus...that this is how the system was always..blah blah..enough spoken!

All the people in the video are not her family, but are all one family. Mother and her kids.

And yes, she is a huge tzadeikis. I personally have witnessed an open Ruach Hakodesh story with her, involving me personally, a decade ago. She's a holy woman. I have no questions on anything that she does.

If you want to know who the family is, it's the Montreal Matzoh Bakery family.

Fascinating. Is there a precedent for a female rebbe figure?
 (Serious question)

Start with Miriam and go from there בכל דור לדור (on some level), contrary to what other sects of Judism and the world believe

Do you know much about the lives and times of Miriam and Devorah? How they actually lived and interacted with others?

Very long history throughout the generations.
First I'm hearing a rebetzin fiering tisch. And having male followers and adherents. Definitely the only one in our generation.

Name one in the last 200 years who had men seeking her blessings, guidance, watching her eat and singing with her?

Based on my (limited) understandings, yes. Very much so. But I may be wrong.

Based on my (limited) understandings, yes. Very much so. But I may be wrong.
I just know that anytime I've seen chazal and reshonim/ achronim mention or discuss female nevios etc, it was always fully implied that they acted in the utmost tznius fashion - exactly as we understand it today (or even more).

Can't quote scources off hand now..

Btw, Take rebitzin kanievsky for eg. She was definitely a great woman and leader and personality. But there was never any public or apparent inappropriate/untznius intereaction with men.
