Topic Wiki

If your video is not embedding, see if your link starts with "http:" - if it does, change it to "https:" and it will work.

If a video isn't embedded you should assume it may be inappropriate for some people.

How do I embed a Youtube video?
Simply post the YouTube URL.
Alternately (actually, this may no longer work):
Click the "youtube" button on the second row on the furthermost left side.
You will now have the words: in your editor.
Now, copy and paste the youtube video id (youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0&x=y) in between the middle brackets in order for it to look like this:

and leave out this part of the link: "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v="

Or you can paste the YouTube link, highlight it, and then click on the "YouTube" button. This will encase the link in the youtube tags,
Now just click "post" and you're done!

How can I search if a video has been posted here before?
This is not foolproof, but it's a good start.
Search for the youtube ID (youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0)

You can't watch full episodes without an account, but they have individual clips of it for free lower down on the screen by 'All clips'

Debate about whether or not it's entrapment.

Debate about whether or not it's entrapment.

Not much of a "debate" IMHO. One side seems exponentially more compelling. Can you guess which one? :)

Come on, these guys wouldn't normally steal a car! It's only cause you dangled it in front of their nose that you tempted them!  ;) Lol!!!

I think that this program is definitely weeding out people who would have gone on to steal a car eventually. Would all of them have seeked out cars to break into and hotwire? Probably many wouldn't have due to either lack of skill, or lack of intent/desire to plan to steal a car. But from seeing how easily they hop into this car and drive off, It's good that they get slapped with a felony - maybe that will prevent them from stealing a car again.

There have however been controversial cases of police entrapment. Sending a kid into a store and harassing the store owner to sell them cigarettes for example. Eventually he caves in and sells. Should he have sold? No. Would he have (and does he) sell to kids on a regular basis? Possibly no! Definitely doesn't deserve the same penalty as a store that is known to sell to every kid who asks.

There was a story in a recent Ami about a frum woman walking with her kids who saw a wallet on a bench in a mall. She picked it up and started looking through it for Identification to figure out who to return it to when she was suddenly arrested for 'theft' on a 'bait wallet'. After spending a lot of money on legal fees, a normal judge finally dismissed the case.

On the same topic:

"Usually bodegas have security cameras with multiple angles so cops can catch the people who rob them. In this case, the surveillance video actually catches the cops busting bodega worker Ismael Duran. "

Yes,, they are quite stupid! I'm amazed by how many of them A)Leave one door propped open because they've seen/heard about bait cars and are thinking that this may be one B)As soon as the car shuts down they go - 'oh, it's a bait car'...
If you knew that cops do this, why in the world would you steal a car that's left in such a set-up way????

I believe you're right, but I think the main point of this approach is to punish those people who don't "quell their burning desire to steal a car." Most people in society, when they see a car running with an unlocked door, do not see a nefarious opportunity. Most law-abiding citizens think that the owner is a moron for leaving his car unlocked with the key in the ignition. Or, at the very least, you have people thinking of stealing the car but overcome their illegal inclinations and keep on walking.

That's disgusting.

i was trying to figure out whats funny about this vid, i found it pretty funny that the girls came prepared with tissue to cry when they were informed about how he will help them (and a couple of other things )
