Topic Wiki

If your video is not embedding, see if your link starts with "http:" - if it does, change it to "https:" and it will work.

If a video isn't embedded you should assume it may be inappropriate for some people.

How do I embed a Youtube video?
Simply post the YouTube URL.
Alternately (actually, this may no longer work):
Click the "youtube" button on the second row on the furthermost left side.
You will now have the words: in your editor.
Now, copy and paste the youtube video id (youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0&x=y) in between the middle brackets in order for it to look like this:

and leave out this part of the link: "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v="

Or you can paste the YouTube link, highlight it, and then click on the "YouTube" button. This will encase the link in the youtube tags,
Now just click "post" and you're done!

How can I search if a video has been posted here before?
This is not foolproof, but it's a good start.
Search for the youtube ID (youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0)

It was a pizza shop. He offered to pay and they said no.
They said no because he lied. Hence IMO that's stealing. If they didn't think those homeless people were undercover they never would have given it for free.

Eta there is a whole argument in the YouTube comments I just saw about this.

I think they called a church or something like that too order a pizza for them. Could be it was a pizza shop, but doesn't why would it be delivered from the back seat of a car then?

I assumed he called the mission across the street. If not then he stole from the pizza shop.
did you watch  a different video than me? he called pizza store and said he wanted to order for some undercover officers (i dont think he actually said the word police) but didnt want to blow their cover by bringing it to them. store didnt want to take money. (at that point maybe he should have told them the truth)

Just because he lied, doesn't mean he stole. His story was false but he was planning on paying. No one forced their hands to deliver a free pie, nor did anyone try to convince them too.

How does everyone know he didn't pay? Maybe they just cut from the part where he said let me give you my cc to after he had given the info. And if you're gonna tell me that it's not a prank otherwise and the whole point was to not pay, how would they know beforehand that the pizza shop would do it free?

If you get someone to give you money based on false information that's stealing

The prank isn't the free pizza, its the way he got the 2 homeless guys a warm meal. The convo seems to imply that they offered the pizza for free, of course he didn't want to insist on paying for it in order not to blow his cover but if he wanted to be honest he'd go to the pizza shop later and pay (but then again who says he didn't?)

Because a con artist asks/solicits for money ??? ???

For some reason, it seems very difficult for some of us here to differentiate between dishonesty and stealing.

Surely you weren't translating it simply as stealing, were you?

"גניבת דעת בהלכה היהודית הוא האיסור להטעות את הזולת ולגרום לו לחשוב באופן מוטעה דבר מסוים"

Translates to:
"Deceit" in Jewish law, is the prohibition to deceive other people and make them think the wrong thing

not all forms of dishonesty are stealing (not talking about geneivas daas) but in this case i would say that he was stealing the pizza; even if they offered it for free it was under false pretenses

...(4) made for the purpose of causing (5) and which does cause (6) the victim to pass title (7) to his property

okay, and what do you think the purpose was of him claiming that they are undercover officers outside a mission?

And even if somehow you interpreted his actions differently, once they offered it on the house wouldn't you saying carrying through with the ruse was done with intent?
