Topic Wiki

If your video is not embedding, see if your link starts with "http:" - if it does, change it to "https:" and it will work.

If a video isn't embedded you should assume it may be inappropriate for some people.

How do I embed a Youtube video?
Simply post the YouTube URL.
Alternately (actually, this may no longer work):
Click the "youtube" button on the second row on the furthermost left side.
You will now have the words: in your editor.
Now, copy and paste the youtube video id (youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0&x=y) in between the middle brackets in order for it to look like this:

and leave out this part of the link: "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v="

Or you can paste the YouTube link, highlight it, and then click on the "YouTube" button. This will encase the link in the youtube tags,
Now just click "post" and you're done!

How can I search if a video has been posted here before?
This is not foolproof, but it's a good start.
Search for the youtube ID (youtube.com/watch?v=oHg5SJYRHA0)

okay, and what do you think the purpose was of him claiming that they are undercover officers outside a mission?

To get the delivery man to deliver to homeless people. While they think that they're doing some secret mission for undercover agents. And the homeless people have no clue what just happened.

Was pretty funny to me. :P

He did try to pay and they cut him off mid sentence.

OK I think this convo is ridiculous. The video is a funny prank played on the homeless people. For a change a prank where no one gets hurt or embarrassed. Why did it get into a discussion about the ethics of the perpetrators?

I don't care about his intention when he placed the call. What was his intention when he said "we appreciate that" in response to them saying we will do it for free? That IMHO is where it became clear stealing/doing a con.

He may have paid them back later but that isn't the discussion at hand.

When you said "We should see these pranks more often" i.e. encouraging stealing... I just don't agree this was a good thing to emulate. If it is how it appears on the surface.

Sorry. That was not my intention. What i (obviously?) meant was that we should see more 'pranks' where the intent is to help someone rather than humiliate...

That's a commercial for today's show I believe. Hence you won't know till it airs.

If I said I found the working models shown as an interesting fact about the future , will you accept that -- if not where do think it should have been posted  .

I may be wrong but I would think people who look at this thread may be interested in the video --- if want it moved , it s ok with me for you to move it

I understand your remark and sort of agree --- yet cell phones when they first came out , were used strictly for business and most people said -- who wants ,needs to be on the phone and available all the time etc., now most people can not live without them -- i will stop now as do not want to be told "this is not a chat session "

@SPLP I'd post it in the interesting video thread. Not to many facts in that video...

I don't think those were all real devices but rather good video magic.

I didn't say not everyone will use those technologies, I'm just saying it'll add stress. Just like having a smart phone adds stress to many people's lives IMHO.
