I'm not sold that they really are losing anything here. it seems like the fake "price mistake". they both are getting a lot of attention and people are grabbing items feeling like they are gaining on a corporate battle. just seems like a good marketing plan to me
You remind me of the Allstate young girls Whole Life policy of a little over a year ago. That one was definitely a price mistake, but it led to unmatched life insurance sales from a company that's not really big or great in that line. At some point, it became a little too big, and they cut it short. It wasn't designed to be what it is, but when it was discovered, it was used by certain managers to promote sales, and then the Yiddish market caught on, peppered up by DDF, until they were forced to kill it a drop before the original deadline.
