Just picked up my my first half of my orders in Brick, my car was loaded in under 10 minutes with help from an employee, only disappointment was according to FedEx my rocking chairs arrived at the store 2 days ago, however seems like they are waiting for the earlier shipments to be picked up before they scan the rocking chairs as ready for pickup.... And they didn't want to go find it....

Leave it to Wal-Mart to make this be an experience showing everyone why not to use in store pickup

Maybe it was a stress test to figure out which pain points need to be solved.

Yet if they really want to make a push into store pickup they have to start caring about the process and analyzing the results. Until now it was just gravy, they did not care less if people picked up or not or how long it took. That's why people rarely ordered for in-store pickup. Now that they have a different operator and are promoting in-store pickup they better make damn sure that they're doing it right. And who's better to test on than a bunch of deal-seeking Jews who probably don't offer much more than a few pennies to the Walmart bottom line.
