Yes it was full. I needed 2 J seats but was never available for more than 5 seconds before someone grabbed it.

That was a crazy story in and of itself...

We were originally supposed to fly EWR-ZRH-TLV (on UA and LX) at 6:30 PM. Our flight from Newark to Zurich was delayed, to the point where we'd miss our connecting flight to Tel Aviv. And thanks to Lag Ba'omer being Sunday, pretty much every flight was booked solid - with stops and without.

But... after a heck of a lot of skilled maneuvering by an angel named Lynn in the United Club at EWR, we somehow found ourselves in literally the last two J seats on a overbooked, Erev Lag Ba'omer, 10:45 PM nonstop flight to Tel Aviv... in United Polaris, no less.

The short version is: after a LOT of back and forth, trying different connecting city options, calling other departments (help desk?) etc, someone she was talking to on the phone told her there's 2 seats on UA90. She said "I don't see them, the flight is sold out" and he told her "there's two seats that are reserved, but not ticketed; I'll cancel them out for you." She then booked us into those two seats.

Somewhere, some TA is probably REALLY pissed. 😂

Was your original flight on coach or first?

I asked someone from J to get me 1.
Its a bit thinner than LH F pj's , but at least the pants ain't 100% poly.
The FA was shocked to see me in those, "where you got these"?
'When I flew J last week' oh yeh.

The seating was very tight, they probably gonna start measuring ppl like with the boarding bags, also its plastic seats.
Even worse was my exit seat as it also need room for the tray table/ife in the armrest.

Kept on asking on the pa to sit down..... "Please don't bring your dirty trays to the kitchen we will collect it soon".... Etc....
But were trying to be nice and to help,
They were just very overwhelmed, didn't know what hit them....
I think they didn't give the back kitchen to daven.

Aha , so I made it to ddms...
Maybe add in there.

Another thing, they were very open with the fact that they're sUA, just no one understood what they saying....
Also they said in about a year they will combine with the old continental.

BTW it was a He that wanted to go home....
It seemed like the older FA's, were very professional , and didn't let all that get in the way, though they were dumfounded.....
But the one that spoke Hebrew, well......
