Personally, I travel with two little kids and prefer to check in my stroller.  It relieves me of it for the rest of the way.  For anyone whose kids walk you could try this: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B000IEQ232/?tag=cl03f-20
It's a life saver even with the stroller.

Has anyone actually had a problem gate checking a stroller?
How could they enforce this?

We have a 26 lb, fully collapsible double stroller. Officially it has to be fully collapsible AND less than 20 lbs.
If we go through security the TSA should not have a problem...once we get to the gate, even if they say its a problem, what would they do already?

yes my sister has had a problem. they dont let you take it through security
