Chase 5/24 rule
« on: May 17, 2017, 10:46:44 PM »
Do business cards get counted as part of 5/24? And are they effected by 5/24? One more question do charge cards get counted as part of 5/24?

If you downgrading a card, for example sapphire preferred to freedom, does the freedom count as 1 of 5 for 5/24?

Has anyone else noticed it is almost impossible to be approved for more than one card if your at 4/24. Back when this rule was implemented i was able to get 3 even 4 approvals at 4/24

I'm looking to sign up for 10 business cards. I need one for each separate business. Would this be possible if they were all under my name?

Be carefull with Chase they close accounts with out giving you any notice and they do not give a reason. I have been banking with Chase for over 30 years.

Chase does not give a reason the bank manager thinks that it might be because I paid the CC with 3rd Party checks. I spoke to different banks and they do not think that would be the reason.

I used the card alot, I could of done 50k+ a month. I also spoke to 2 accountants and they do not believe that 3rd party checks is the issue.
So I do not have a answer. I just think that people should not rely on Chase for the points as they shut you down without any notice.

It was the third party checks. Or at the very least, it was a a combination of the high spend and third party checks.
