New at this game.... When people say that AU's count toward your 5/24 but that some reps will approve you nonetheless, is that referring to an AU that I added to my card getting counted as a second account towards MY 5/24, or an AU that I added to my card getting counted toward the AU's 5/24? Thanks for clarifying.

Any card that you are an AU on counts. The reps will ignore these when you call.

Thanks. So adding AU's to my cards will not add anything to my 5/24?

FTFY
They don't automatically ignore them, and often it can be a PITA to get them to do so.

Getting rid of 5/24 soon!

My first of the 5 cards was opened on july 17 2016. When can I apply for a new chase card? Now? On the 17th? Or August 1? I’m seeing mixed advise on this.

Experian shows the card as opened on july 1, other credit bureaus or showing July 17. I’m in NY where chase pulls from Experian.

Thank you.

2 may be fine... Just keep in mind that Chase is supper aggressive these days.

It is also up to your comfort level of having chase eyes on your account...

Just checked my credit report and it lists 5 cards opened since 2016 but one is me as an authorized user not individual. Does that count against the 5/24?

Also how do I figure out which accounts are which for my Barclays cards as the credit report lists a different type I account number than the number on the card..

It does, but you can call Chase and explain that it's just a AU and they should approve you.

I found a card in my room that is not on my report :o
It happens to be a business card- are they reported as well? I assume they are. What happened there?
How do you figure out which Barclays accounts and Amex accounts are which as they give diff account numbers than on the card
