Looking to book ex-TLV in a few weeks. Options with UA miles in Business Saver are LX, LH, or OS each with a stopover in their respective hub.

What would you do?

And now, same question but what if we throw UA plan B into the mix?

Just because of the Wide-Body aircraft for the TLV-EU segment I would go with LX. I personally prefer OS over LX for the long haul though.

I'm going right after Shavuos and chose OS JFK>TLV and LX TLV>JFK due to stopover times.

BTW if Wi-Fi is important not all of those have.

Another option is to go TLV-BRU and then switch to UA for the transatlantic. Is Polaris much better than those other Js I mentioned?

Depends on the plane.

I guess there's a MS post I was supposed to read that explains all that?

I feel like I may be derailing this thread which is about J products to/from TLV when what I really want is help planning my itinerary.

Anyone want to help me? If so, what thread should we move to. Or you could always PM if you're in the mood.

That was my thought when I booked LX, but I was really disappointed with the product. Lie flat bed is too short and too narrow (laying on my side, FA bumped into my knees with cart).

WiFi is available on LX, though one has to purchase a package, unlike TK which is free for business class.

This thread reminded me that I actually did also fly SN in Fake business ex-TLV. Had to travel urgently and only thing I found was SN TLV-BRU-GVA connecting to UA for GVA-EWR. Nothing good to say about that one, neither SN nor BRU airport is something to look forward to.

767?
Decent. Worst is the 777-200 which is literally a economy seat that lies flat. (2-4-2 config, plus rear facing seats)

Simple answer is no.
Add to that the fact that TLV-BRU is around 5 hours in "fake" J.

Is that the same "fake" J as what you referred to in your previous post?

In other words, are these the same thing?

No, he's referring to fake eu J, which is just a blocked middle seat.

No. UA J on the 777-200 is "real" J, although widely known in the industry as one the worst long haul J products. Whereas J on SN between TLV and BRU is not a J product at all just a regular economy seat with the middle seat blocked, as is standard with many European airlines for domestic flights.

Thanks for clarifying.

So I am looking at UA right now for a LHR-TLV itinerary. It seems that on LX the LHR-ZRH leg is in a Bombadier. That's fake J? The ZRH-TLV is in an airbus 330. I am assuming that's real J.

Are there better routes for LHR-TLV maybe with different miles?
