No. UA J on the 777-200 is "real" J, although widely known in the industry as one the worst long haul J products.

How many J products have you flown? UA 772 J is more like mediocre than "one of the worst".

I would say I have flown probably more than 20 different products.

However for clarification purposes, I am referring to the 772 configured with 8 seats across, and rear facing seats. Which as I mentioned is effectively just a lie-flat economy seat.

That was my thought when I booked LX, but I was really disappointed with the product. Lie flat bed is too short and too narrow (laying on my side, FA bumped into my knees with cart).

WiFi is available on LX, though one has to purchase a package, unlike TK which is free for business class.

This thread reminded me that I actually did also fly SN in Fake business ex-TLV. Had to travel urgently and only thing I found was SN TLV-BRU-GVA connecting to UA for GVA-EWR. Nothing good to say about that one, neither SN nor BRU airport is something to look forward to.
Seems like you sat in the wrong seat.
Try 4a or 6a etc, which are window seats and aisle access nice and wide with lots of space , boy have i slept in those.

Decent. Worst is the 777-200 which is literally a economy seat that lies flat. (2-4-2 config, plus rear facing seats)
Oh , that's the worst it can probably get in lie flat.
A few months back, was booked in  LH J 747-8 upstairs yo FRA, last second switched to UA since it left 3 hrs later.
Get on the plane and I'm like what the ........

Wasn't flying alone, so I took middle section.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

While you are correct with regard to the fact that the "Throne Seats" have an overabundant amount of personal space,  he was complaining specifically about the seat comfort as well as the length of the bed which is no different in these seats, and I find many are in agreement with him.

Re United, it's not the 777-200 that you should look for, but rather sUA. sCO 777-200 is the BusinessFirst 2-2-2

Thanks for clarifying.

So I am looking at UA right now for a LHR-TLV itinerary. It seems that on LX the LHR-ZRH leg is in a Bombadier. That's fake J? The ZRH-TLV is in an airbus 330. I am assuming that's real J.

Are there better routes for LHR-TLV maybe with different miles?
Do you need to be in LON?

Haven't flown via LHR in a long time, but it's a huge airport with multiple terminals, not the greatest for a connection.

Is YQ outrageous on BA also on LHR-TLV route?

BA used to be my airline of choice before the days of outrageous YQ, and when I was still flying Y. They served me very well with the family pooling of miles, and even cleared award space for me in a special situation, on request.

Correct. You can see easily by the seat config which one it is.

BA has real J on that route (A321 is real J as well) and is Direct. Elal has direct flights as well but try to fly from LHR, as their flight from LTN is using the 737.

Yes, I need to be in LON for a few days in the middle of the NYC-TLV trip. Returning I don't need LON at all.

Here is what I am thinking as of now (all with UA miles).

NYC-LHR UA plan B
LHR-TLV LX
TLV-NYC OS

Total 182.5k

Stop in London is 3 days. Maybe I'm using multiple city search wrong.

If you will end up flying indirect lon-tlv, look into LCY instead of LHR.

It's closer to most of london, smaller & much faster to go through

If the aircraft type is A319 then it will be the "real" J.
-0.5 I've had an a319 with blocked middle on this route

isnt the new stopover rules that the middle flight can't span 2 region for instance tlv-ewr(stop)-lax-tlv is valid while tlv-zrh(stop)-nyc-tlv gets charged for all 3 segments

THat does make sense considering that all of the shortcomings of LX J are moot when compared to fake J. Those are the opposite directions of how I am going. There goes any chance of an in-flight DO. Maybe in the lounges if our days are the same. :) From the sounds of it they probably aren't anyhow.

I am currently in TLV with DW booked on TK going back to JFK.

Would like to try United Plan B for UA91 (X9, C9 availability).

I have no experience with this, and last time I was on the phone with UA from here, took over an hour and 20 minutes and got disconnected.

Anyone who knows how to do this and is willing to help for a fee, please PM ASAP, so I can try to get on UA91 J using Plan B.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!
