Just flew TLV-IST leg on A321-200. It's not lie-flat, but definitely real business class (similar to domestic first, though IINM recline is less than one might get on domestic first).

Their in flight magazine has their fleet listed, showing various aircraft and seat pitches. I presume that "Fixed Business" is real business.
I've been waiting over 5 years with bated breath for someone to say that!

I flew EWR-ZRH last year on the A330. Lie flat bed was exactly 2 inches short so either my head banged the top or my legs didnt fit in the tiny footwell. The bed itself wasnt to comfortable either.
I did not feel that way in a throne seat. We will see soon about a single.

Flew SU SVO-TLV in J on an A321 had pretty nice hard product with angle flat, cabin was almost empty. Soft product was also pretty good gave my son all sorts of toys and stuff, food was OK nothing special...

I've taken an infant on DL & SU in J as a lap child (totally free - thanks to Flying Blue error, though it did cost me some delay at SVO as they didn't know what to do, but eventually let the infant on the connecting flight).

That was my thought when I booked LX, but I was really disappointed with the product. Lie flat bed is too short and too narrow (laying on my side, FA bumped into my knees with cart).

WiFi is available on LX, though one has to purchase a package, unlike TK which is free for business class.

Just because of the Wide-Body aircraft for the TLV-EU segment I would go with LX. I personally prefer OS over LX for the long haul though.
Just flew OS JFK>VIE>TLV and LX TLV>ZRH>JFK. I felt LX was the better product by a very long shot. First and foremost was the real J for the short-haul segment, but I found LX better for the long haul as well. For TLV>ZRH I had a bulkhead throne seat which was very roomy and was not too short at all. On both long hauls I had a single seat with the seat against the window and the table at the aisle. On OS it was a bulkhead not LX. I found the OS to be too short but not LX. I felt that the OS was narrower too. I found the soft products to be similar.

One thing I noticed on LX was that the bulkheads have a much wider footwell since it is not restricted by the seat in front. On OS it was at the galley and cabinets restricted it.

NOTE on LX you cannot pre-reserve a single seat against the window or a throne seat in advance if you are not HON Senator. At checkin you are able to switch to those seats, but for some reason it did not give me that option for TLV>ZRH. At the airport I asked for 4a which is a bulkhead throne in the mini-cabin (first two rows of J are separate) and it was available. I was able to chose a single window with the table at the aisle in the mini-cabin (5k) for ZRH>JFK at checkin.

Same story with UA.

Yes, I need to be in LON for a few days in the middle of the NYC-TLV trip. Returning I don't need LON at all.

Here is what I am thinking as of now (all with UA miles).

NYC-LHR UA plan B
LHR-TLV LX
TLV-NYC OS

Total 182.5k

Please share your thoughts on the various hard and soft products.
