Sq will mean more yq, no? On the second portion which is LH fake j regardless
SQ and A3 both wont charge YQ on UA. And the second portion should be very minimal, use Matrix for the exact breakdown of the LH YQ.

But they both will on the LH portion fra-tlv, it seems. When looking on matrix, is it just the yq or all taxes and fees that I should assume will be charged?

Thanks. In that case A3 definitely makes more sense than United. I preferred to use my Chase points but this is just so much more worthwhile. Thank you all for your help!

Transfer 75k Chase to SQ.

Transfer 75k Chase to SQ.
At that point I'm better off using United, more miles but no yq and takes advantage of my small and currently useless United balance

As you wish. Just a piece of advice, Why dont you try calling SQ and have them price it out so you have exact numbers to work with?

Good idea, thanks. And once I've moved away from using Chase I think my best option may actually be transferring spg to United using Marriott nights+flights and then just topping off with Chase, better total value for me I think

Do that, and then book with SQ.

Can't book SQ with the United miles I created through nights and flights...

With a valuation of 1.4 for UR and 1.9 for SPG, these seem to be my options:

UR to United - 90k but no YQ, and takes advantage of my small United balance = $1078
UR to SQ - 75k + YQ of about 130 it seems = 1180
SPG to Aegean - 48k + YQ = 1042
SPG to Marriott to United + top up with UR: 37.5k + 11k UR = 866.50

I'm booking two tickets but these numbers reflect cost per ticket.

Minimum for Nights + flights is 235k Marriott.

I divided the actual numbers I'll be using in half to get a per ticket price. I'm also counting on turning the nights back into 15k spg if I can't sell them

Hence my earlier comment, redeem for travel package. And then transfer Chase to SQ and book with them.

Ok, I'm definitely missing something here. Once I redeem for the travel package and I have 132k United why would I go with the Chase-SQ, leaving me with 132k stranded United miles? That would seem to be a separate and unrelated transaction. Please clue me in before I pull the trigger on this.

Speaking purely from a Miles=$ valuation. Travel package is a great redemption for your Spg (although you should probably wait for a promotion to transfer) And 75k SQ is a better redemption than 90k UA.

Ok, so your point is that once I transfer my SPG to United it becomes more valuable and changes the equation? Regardless, when valuing UR at 1.4 90k+40 makes more sense than 75k+185 (now that I have those exact numbers)

No, scratch that. It only made sense because I was valuing my existing small United balance as 0. But if I transfer SPG to United and then sell the account (let's say at 1.3, hopefully I could get more) then that would change the equation and make SQ more worthwhile

You'd probably do better selling the SPG outright.

Numbers are always quoted in SGD.
