Quote from Cholent:

"If we believe we can't afford as a country to provide this benefit as it stands, then cut evenly across the board, or identify less at risk groups, like healthy adults, and cut them from the program. Cutting benefits from children from large families is a moral judgment that poor people should not have large families."

Misleading title.
Disagree.

Why should a child from a large family need less food?

It's a direct attack on the concept of large families!

(anyways, I was following the WP way of titling it.)

I was wondering how Budget was going to charge to transport more passengers in a rental car.
Save your time, I don't answer PM. Post it in the forum and a dedicated DDF'er will get back to you as soon as possible.

oh! sorry.

I was gonna write Trump's budget. But I didn't want Trumpkins to have a knee jerk reaction to support him.

How do I change the title to be "Proposed budget ...."

Please call your congressman, etc.

This affects the frum community massively!

This is misleading. The proposal is to place a fixed cap on how much a family can receive. Once a family reaches that cap, having more children will not allow them to collect more benefits that exceed the cap.

That said, having large families is not contingent on collecting welfare from the government, much like buying a fancy esrog or fancy strollers is not contingent upon welfare. If you want to be mekayeim a mitzvah behiddur, you will need to do it with your own sweat.

Not to mention, that people aren't supposed to be dependent on these subsidies, they are only to assist you to get to a point where you can support yourself.

A tax credit is not welfare.

Maybe I misread the article. Where does it discuss tax credits?

Removed my comment, I thought the article was about something else.

I knew this would bring out all anti food stamps people.

This has nothing to do with food stamps.

Food stamps remains the same, but after 4 children, they won't give anymore.

It's an anti large family proposal.

whatever.

Whoever cares about the many many large frum families who are genuinely poor, and need FS to feed their families, please caontact your congressman.

Everyone else, please go back to your self righteous pathetic holes.
