award booking q
« on: June 03, 2011, 11:06:02 AM »
i'm trying to book a * award with usair miles... the return is lh from tlv-fra in coach and from fra-ewr on co in biz.   the agent claims you can't mix classes on different airlines, and so can't book it.    anyone know if this is true?

I just booked two reservations on continental.com using miles. One is flying on LO LH and CO and the other is flying on LH and VS. Both reservations have been purchased but not been ticketed. Is it normal for CO award bookings not to be ticketed right away? Does anyone have any experience like this with CO?

Generally they ticket pretty quickly but on the weekends either its backed up or they don't do it as I have gotten the confirmation only Monday morning on many occasions...

@yare: typical US airways.

Try to tell the agent to look leg by leg, but often even if both legs are available, but both together not, they still won't do it.

Besides, isn't CO a better value for miles than US Air on this route?
