changing an award ticket on ba that was already booked

my parents have an award ticket on ba already booked in coach for nyc to tlv for august.
I was wondering if it was possible to upgrade that flight using more points to get them business?

and if not meaning that the ticket would have to be a totally new booking how much are the fees involved?

( trying to be a good son and surprise my parents)

You may find the London to TLV segmen will be the limiting factor in business availibility. According to BA its one of their most popular routes and business is sold out shortly after becoming availible.

Additionally most BA tix only allow upgrades of one class of service which would be Premium Economy
