I had the standard free 3 month "pay as you go" trial, and only signed up a week ago. I just received this email:

Due to existing member consent and our desire to make our community exclusive, we have decided to end the Pay-As-You-Go trial you’re currently enrolled in.

Here’s the good news: if you upgrade to our SMART membership by Friday latest, I’m able to give you a complimentary 3-month extension – 15 months, for the price of 12 months.

I got this email also but that was only a result of downloading the app.
I've since activated my Simple trial membership and have access to free flights!

Very odd. I applied a week ago and haven't heard back yet, while my wife applied On Thursday and got approved the next day.

Still haven't heard from them, but I logged into the app and it appears my membership is active.

Apparently they aren't terminating my free trial... Just got a call from a rep trying to get me to purchase a membership, and I told him I was counting on trying it out with the pay as you go membership, and taking it from there. He encouraged me to do that, and left me his direct line and info for when I'm ready to take the plunge

Nope, didn't even bring it up. In hindsight I guess I should've asked, but I figures I got the answer I wanted with regards to it, so didn't really care.

Not necessarily. The shuttles are, but empty legs depend on the plane and the route. I've seen as low as $70 a seat.

Haven't seen less than $120 recently and those were for very short hops, nothing very useful. Used to be less.
