One day when I can actually afford to fly private I won't have to take a bus home. But for now, when I have a chance to fly it for free, I'll do whatever I have to do in order to take advantage of it.

Obviously the bus is the last choice if I can't get on a flight using points.

I did that 2 years ago over New Years weekend. Flew private to YQB and no points availability for the way back with high holiday prices. Took heimans back from YUL.

To borrow a phrase to make one last point in my defense, the last name of this website is deals, and if sitting on a bus for three hours helps me get a free ride on a private jet, that's a good deal in my mind. It's not as bad as getting off Cathay First and heading straight to a hostel..
