from what I have been reading in the forums, it's best to buy cash tickets using the sapphire preferred. is this true? if I buy through the UR portal on orbitz will I get the 1% back plus the "4.07%"back that dan says you get by booking airfare with sapphire preferred? (Also, it looks like the best flights are with delta/Alitalia. I know you guys think delta miles are worthless, but I got a delta card before I started reading the forums - should I book it on my delta card or use sapphire?) thanks for your help

need paid ticket ewr, jfk, lga or phl to tlv on 10/6,7 or 8/13 and back 10/12 or 13/13 prefer same airport
flying w/o family so can make 1 stop but not too long.

I'm used to like $2.50 per segment total!
