One way/Round trip: Round trip
Non-stop/Maximum stops/Any: 1
From: JFK or Newark
To: Tel Aviv
Departure dates: June 28-30 2015
Return airports: JFK or Newark
Return dates: August 4-6 2015
Class: Coach/Economy
Seats: 4
Alliance/Airline: Preferably El-Al

First, I see the deals for Aeroflot and Ukraine airlines, but I honestly don't feel comfortable flying into or over Ukraine. I'm sure all would be ok, but I prefer to spend a little extra for safety.
With that being said, I see El Al deals pop up. I do know that summer is probably the most expensive time to fly to Israel. I keep looking at prices, and the prices on El Al for the same dates I looked at 2 days ago went up by approx $60 a ticket. I haven't been on an airplane/to Israel since 2002, so I need as much advice as possible.
I keep being told conflicting things. Will the flights get cheaper the longer I wait? Is it worth it to wait a few more weeks? months? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi all,

looking for the following:

Round trip:
Fine with stops: (though if there's a stop, I'd like it to be long enough that I can leave the airport and explore that city)
From: All NYC airports
To: anywhere in Spain (probably would be cheapest to fly to BCN or MAD though)
Departure dates: December 23, 24, or 25 (24 would be best)
Return airports: Any NYC airports OR PHL
Return dates: MUST be back Jan 4th. can leave Jan 1 or 2 if much cheaper
Class: Any
Seats: 2
Alliance/Airline: Any

So far, the cheapest I've found was JFK to Madrid rt for about 1250, but a month ago I saw the same for 850.

THANKS SO MUCH EVERYONE!!!!

Need to find negotiated fares
« Reply #3204 on: November 25, 2014, 06:12:27 AM »
posted this as it's own thread but didn't know if it was most appropriate to post here instead:
I am a skeleton athlete, sliding for Israel.  Skeleton is a winter sliding sport.
Basically for the next few months i'm going to be making 13 or so roundtrips from SFO to SLC, a couple of these will be multi-segments SFO-SLC-SEA-SFO, bringing along with me a heavy, irregular-shaped skeleton sled (67pounds or so). The scheduling works best by flying Delta from SFO to SLC.
The costs of this would be otherwise intensely high.  I believe taking business class would allow me to "check" the skeleton sled.  However, published fares for SFO-SLC range from 650 or more.  I can't be spending 7k on airfare in a few months--skeleton's an expensive sport and that's simply too much cost.  Taking economy and spending $150 on an oversized package per segment would be devastating costwise as well.
Someone recommended that I try to find an agency that negotiated fares/rates/upgrades when buying in quantity.  Anyone got any ideas?  I am part of a national federation so it could be considered as traveling as part of a corporation.
Thanks!

Looking to go NYC --> Rome --> TLV --> NYC December 28th-ish to January 15 with at least a couple days in Rome. If anyone could find a route for less than $1000 I'd be incredibly appreciative.

Someone mentioned using someone's FF# which has status. Would this work? Is there a forum for this kind of thing?

One way/Round trip: Round trip
Non-stop/Maximum stops/Any: Ideally, non-stop

Departure dates: 12/24, 12/25
Return dates: 1/3, 1/4

Would consider NYC-RNO, SFO-NYC
