Thats cheaper than what I found, unless you can fly on DEC1. Any airline that belongs to an alliance will be better than IcelandExpress, IMHO.
Personally I would go with IE b/c I have a craving to see Iceland, plus it breaks up the flight half-way through so max flying time is 3-4hrs. If you're with kids or lots of luggage then for sure stick with the normal flights.
The only thing I'd be afraid of is an that our fare includes an overnight stay over, which can be pricey. Also, it might have a long/dangerous routing through Turkey/Russia/Jordan etc.

Also that fare will be probably be impossible to change if anything comes up, since its not a regular ticket. I know someone who just had to buy a new OW tkt. (See above) because his tkt was from something like that & he couldn't leave on time, & they won't change it.
Thanks for the info.  I hear what you say about changing the dates.
this is the flight info
Super Saver Fare
Flight 2   744
  Newark Liberty (EWR)
London Heathrow (LHR)  09:15pm -30Nov, Wed
09:05am -01Dec, Thu  Nonstop
Coach

 Flight Duration : 6hr 50min   Total Trip Time: 6hr 50min

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  Super Saver Fare
Flight 9   346
  London Heathrow (LHR)
New York Kennedy (JFK)  04:50pm -05Dec, Mon
08:00pm -05Dec, Mon  Nonstop
Coach

 Flight Duration : 8hr 10min   Total Trip Time: 8hr 10min

I am flying with kids and would prefer no stops just get there and back.  could they actually change the flight to an eastern european carrier with a stop in russia?

I checked the times it is not the regulars flights such as continental, delta, aa, ba, united,(can't figure out the carrier, that is what worries me.

I can't believe  they'll change the routing. If you can't find the flight there's something really fishy going on... Maybe its some kind of charter. Dunno. Therre has to be wn answer to that question. Other than that I would for sure take it.

Just beginning to look at EWR>TLV for August nonstop. elal is 1400 while CO is 1700, i prefer CO, any ideas why CO is so out of whack, you'd think that so much in advance it would be cheaper.  is there a time when the CO might be more reasonable? Thanks

I am attempting to plan a trip for 2 to Maui in March with a stopover in sfo. I live in between mia and fll so either is fine to leave from.

I have plenty of AA miles (highest accumulation) , MR Points, UR points,  a few continental (can transfer from ur) and a few Starwood

From what i've read it  seems that continental is the best way to go, accurate?

aside from maui I would like to spend 2-3 days in either (sfo-san-pdx)

So far what i've come up with as far as award seats is the follows: (also trying to avoid to many stopovers)
Continental:
3/9/12 Fll-ORD/ord-sfo (25k b/f saverpass)
3/12/12 sfo-ogg (40k b/f saverpass)
3/16/12 ogg-den (40kb/f saverpass)
3/18/12 den-fll (25k e easypass or 50k b/f easypass)

When I try to book it as a multi trip it doesn't seem to come out right so I found these all searching one ways.

Now here is my question:

Do I have to pay for each segment the rewards amount shown or can they just be added in as stopovers on a fll-ogg round trip? If so does that mean that you pay the reward amount from the priciest segment of the trip? For instance with the flights I have listed would it be 40k there (mia-ord-sfo-ogg) in b/f total? and 40k back (ogg-den-fll) so a total of 80k miles for flying business/first the whole way?

Additionally: How exactly does the b/f saverpass work? Do you nly get it if seat is unsold at time of departure or confirmed beforehand? If you end up in economy are you still charges the full saverpass rate for b/f?

Is it even worth trying to get b/f for the flight segments I plan on taking or should I just go with economy (good redemption value?- b/f anything special on those flights?)

Any assistance would be appreciated....

It's rarely lower, unless you're gonna fly Spirit. And with Spirit the only way you're gonna actually pay that price is if you don't go to the airport (or is there a no-show fee as well?)

IMHO you should buy a ticket from a points dealer. Or buy US airways with the recent promotion.

Which promotion of US Airways is that? What would a points dealer charge and would it be cheapest with Delta/US Airways/El Al or Continental?
