You'll probably have to pay heavy change fees. You can't change a name on a reservation.

I need to take a very specific BA flight from JFK_LHR...Is there any way at all to avoid the fuel surcharges?

I know that if I book on AA there also is fuel surcharges. Any other way around this?

I am familiar with that route and my personal opinion is that if you must fly BA, strongly consider buying a revenue ticket.

Revenue tickets were still higher. Also I need to fly business class.

Return - probably sometime around February 15, pretty flexible. Don't mind getting one-way.
All I found was Lufthansa for a rocking $1800-$1900 R/T each.
