Sorry- i know its a couple weeks after you asked but I just saw this. I really liked the hotel and it was a very pleasant experience. I didnt think that the beach next to it was very nice but the pool made up for it.

I know that this post is a couple years old, but seems to be the only info here

What time of year were you there? Was it busy? Did you get upgraded? Was the pool busy?

anyone ever rented from E-Z rent-a-car before? i am getting a quote of $11.44 per day (incl all taxes/fees) from orbitz for a Nissan Sentra or similar? seems crazy cheap and am a little skeptical.

Is anyone staying at the El Conquistador during Yeshiva week (week beginning 1/18/15)?  We will be staying in the area and are looking for someone who would be kind enough to allow us to purchase tickets to the water park.  Any leads would be greatly appreciated.

from the airport. they have strict protocols and price is agreed by the cab station before you leave the airport.

now having rented from them - am telling everyone to stay away (as well as Allied Car/trunk rental), no matter the cost. they are toxic.

i think this explains it. what made me miss it was that on orbitz, its only listed as EZ car rental NOT allied.

its way cheaper from locations 10 minutes outside the airport. $20 cab ride will save you a lot.

how did you get a rate of $10 a day.  It is giving me a rate of $28 day.
I just want a place that wont hassle me with long waits and telling me the car is scratched when it comes back.

I see Chabad PR mentioned Charley's rentals.  I had a reservation with payless for $11 day but it had awful reviews.  Got that one on priceline, so cancelled the reservation.

You went through costco? It was weird because when I played with the times of pickup it went from like 26 dollars to 10.
Don't go with an off name car rental. Did it once in Miami what a nightmare and took about 3 hours to pick up the car. I kid you not

I got a very good rate too with Dollar. Everyone's rates seem to fluctuate alot even up to the day of rental. Best to check a comparison site periodically and look for price drops.

Depends what you're looking for in a hotel, but the Sheraton is a 5 minute walk.
