Any unvax ppl here  recently (last few weeks) been to PR and  can share experience of getting thru airport and checking in to hotel? Do they require vax proof? What if stay is less than 7 days, will they let you out?

Has anyone had any experience with kosher breakfast being a globalist at the Hyatt Regency?

Yes. I was there a few weeks ago.

They do it through room service. There's a per meal fee, and there's a form to fill out. If you email them, they'll send it to you.

They were very helpful, though the service was pretty slow (especially on shabbos when we couldn't call every few minutes to check).
Will they keep your stuff in the Fridge or freezer or only freezer?

car rental rates are pretty high now. does it make sense to rely on taxis instead? what are prices like?

Booked last minute trip to Puerto Rico with the expiring JetBlue Heroes certificates. Hyatt Grand Reserve the best place to stay? Do you need a car there? Any recommendations for activities? Going for 2 days.

Fairmont but its not top notch. Unless you stay in the newer rooms not in main tower.
chabad has rates at the royal sonesta. nice proprty on the beach. club rooms first floor have direct access to the pool area which is really nice. deff a more basic hotel

Any recommendations for Fairmont Vs. Royal Sonesta over Shabbos?

Fairmont is closer

I stayed at royal sonesta. Get a club ground floor room for easy pool access. U do need to ask them to open the club door tho to get to your room.

Don’t mind the walk. Which one is nicer?

I would say Fairmount. Keep in mind these hotels are not Miami standards

Car rentals are very cheap (my possible dates coincide with hurricane season but I think it's worth the risk), so I'm thinking of doing a Puerto Rico road trip- loop around the island as well as the interior. This would be my first time in Puerto Rico.
I would need a day plus Shabbos in San Juan, a few hours in Ponce, as well as the basics like Bioluminescent Bay and El Yunque. I'm not much of a beach person but I'd hike up to 15 miles a day. Might tack on Vieques and/or Culebra via ferry as well.

Has anyone here done a road trip? Is 10 days too much?

It's a small island. 2 days was more than enough for me. Unless you want to see very nook and cranny 3-4 days is plenty.

Thank you.
You drove around the island? Or just day trips from San Juan?

Should really write a TR lol.

Drove around to the east side of the island mostly and to El Younique (was not that impressed, but whatever). I did love the Bioluminescence tour. I did right before sunset, so we had an hour before sunset and then waited in the bay as it got dark and we could see the water light up. We kayaked back at night.

Gotcha.
So I'm thinking 2 days East, 2 days San Juan (Shabbos), 2 days West/interior (hiking), a day or two for Vieques and/or Culebra.
Looks like 7 or 8 days should do it.
Thanks!

I did the road trip, but only half the island.  We spent about a week, and if it were just me, I could've easily spent another 3 days returning to El Yunque. I see that I still have an email I had written, so I'll post the TR, although this was many years ago, so doesn't really reflect what's available today.  Hurricanes take out a lot of the infrastructure, and some things improve over time, while others fall apart.  One thing I remember clearly is that driving often took much longer than we had planned due to the condition of the roads.
