I'm at  the sheraton in Old San Juan now. Not so fantastic.
How many days are you planning on staying?
Try sherraton hotel and casino 10k spg a night

Its not terrible, no. Just very...average and plain. Great service so far, though, and my room was very clean.

I'd love to know how the hotel was during Shabbos (Food preparation, doors, etc.), I'd appreciate if you can report back after Shabbos on your experience.

Also, is there anyway around the $20 parking? Perhaps there's available parking in the area?

We arent going to be here for shabbos, we are going to a hotel near chabad with a full kitchen for those two nights. Sorry...

About the parking, i tried circling for a while, but there is extremely limited parking in the area. I've never found a spot yet...i eventually gave in and used the.hotels parking. At least it's $20 for 24 hours, not just overnight, so you can come and go as much as you want. There are two lots very close by but they dont really come out cheaper.

Thanks for the info. Is there a non-automatic door to exit the hotel?

Didnt look like there was one, certainly not in the front of the hotel. Truth is, though, i think you would probably be able to go in and out through the casino or one of the restaurants. I guess just call the hotel...

Really depends on what you are comparing to, it's a very subjective question. But yes, it's a fine hotel. Nice, clean, etc.

A lot of the recent reviews said there's a major bug problem

Don't know about that. But my friend stayed there 3-4 weeks ago and had no problem.
