interesting. if i wanted to make my home "smart" what other accessories would i need? eg which smart lights, thermostats, etc are compatible with this?

Besides Ring doorbell, nothing is directly integrated. However, it does Amazon Alexa, so whatever smart devices that can be controlled with Alexa, you can control with this.
