As a lot of people are going to have long stops this holiday season at TXL thought will be good to have a thread where can find info:

What to do there

-Lounges: What types there is with PP? what do they include?
-Hotels: Cheap hotels nearby
-Shuls: Nearby shuls with minyanim. Times of prayers. Contact number of rabbi. Mikvah
-Attractions: Old jewish sites etc.
-Parks: and other children friendly attractions

I haven't been there, but my sons have at different times. One of the Rabbis there is a good friend and used to be steady at my Shabbos table when he was in yeshiva.

IINM Shachris is at 7:30, there's a mikvah there (my sons say its very good).

It's about 20 minutes by public transportation (including walk) from TXL.

when I was there a few years ago they had a restaurant too by the Shul

I had a stop there recently. The PP lounge can be a little hard to find and isn't the nicest, but they don't let you go to the gate until 90 min before the flight and there is nowhere to sit during a long stopover.

I believe that's only until Oct 1. I believe the DUS route is discontinued after that.
