Amex F/R Master Thread

During my FR, my cards were suspended but loading to serve seemed to work but then again they don't earn me any points.  Just an observation.

I know this has been asked in before in different ways but I was wondering if adding many AU's over an extended period of time would be a FR risk. Say 2-3 per month on an account with several already.

Don't confuse a fraud freeze with a FR. 

i  had my account suspended not just a freez by the fr dept but they said its a fraud freez

The FR dept also is in charge of the mini-FR's.

I just got FR'd for the second time in 2 months. Last time my accounts were shut down while they reviewed my 4506 and now they just called me again!!! They said that because they can only request a 4506 once every 30 days, I would need to fax in 3 recent consecutive bank statements. I faxed them a few minutes after they called but meanwhile, my cards are suspended. Awful, just awful. When I asked why I am being FR'd again, he told me that its because I applied for an additional card. Does this mean that every time I apply for another amex, I will get FR'd?!!!!!

Maybe you got 46 X $25 credit from AMEX and they are looking for payback?

true but they really don't tell you the real reason for FR, do they?  Plus he already showed AMEX the tax form so what else are they looking for from bank statements?

Then I'm very interested in your "long story."

Basically in the begining of '12 i called Chase recon. They informed me that there was a issue with my credit report. It seemed that there was a payment way past due from amex. I had no clue what they were talking about, thought possibly that my identity had been stolen. I checked my Credit report and sure enough, my score dropped to the 6's and there was a payment past due from aprox. october of '11 by Amex for $10.
Called amex they had no clue. Many times a HUCA and transfers (I thought possibly my identity was compromised) they found and old card that was charged $10  for the MR linkage fee, after the card had already beeen cancelled. They said no problem they will credit the account.  wonderful, but that didn't take care of the messed up credit report. Much time and Hucas again they said they'll take care  of the report. As I was dealing with them, I checked My online account and there was no problem. as soon as I got of the phone I checked again and BAM!! Suspended. I immediatly called customer service (maybe I reached the FR department, dunno) I was agitated and I sounded like it, I explained that they were supposed to take care of the issue not suspend my accounts. Bingo!!, My woes were finally over.

Long story, indeed. But one that worked out in your favor. Glad you were able to get out of it.

That said, it doesn't seem you were F/Red for the typical reasons, so perhaps that's why you were able to talk yourself out of it.
