But if you didn't lie on the applications then you shouldn't have too much to worry about if you cooperate, so I'd just call them back and get it over with.

People who lie but who show decent income pass too, they usually just get their limits slashed.

They get your tax forms directly from the IRS (you fill out a permission form), and on the tax form Amex receives from the IRS there is no breakdown of who makes what, so for all they know your wife makes all of the income reported.

It's been discusses a couple of pages upthread that you have at least 30 days to transfer out even if they shut you accounts.

Anybody got Fr'd on a biz account and was asked to prove that the biz (sole proprietorship) is registered with the state? Also, how long after you unilaterally close your accounts down shoud one try to reapply?

They said the biz has to be registered with the state to have a biz card but they have not yet asked for specific documents.

Registering with the state is usually cheap, Google for instructions to register in your state.

Did you apply with your name or you made up a business name?

I said this many times. A FR is no big deal and never lie on an app. Just have my first FR and passed with no change in any of my accounts.

Its a big deal when your business is depended on it, and they shut down completely till your info is verified.

You should never have your business in a position where it is dependent on one CC.

-1. All my amex cards were put on hold due to the FR. Unless your referring to 1 CC provider.

When it comes to a FR it does not matter what name you put down for the business. What matters is if you can substantiate the info about the business.

Just confirming, Amex is running system maintenance on all my accounts and it's not a FR.
